Psychological counselling
More infoIndividual counselling takes place in up to 5 sessions (each lasting approx. 50-60 minutes). The counselling sessions are confidential and free of charge. Depending on the volume of enquiries, the waiting time for an initial appointment may take a few weeks.
conTakt - Counselling centre for sexualized discrimination and violence issues
More infoAlmost every second student or employee experiences such situations at the university and even more observe them and have the opportunity to position themselves/intervene. Universities - and the University of Oldenburg - are no exception.
The conTakt counseling center for questions about sexualized violence and discrimination is available to all students and employees of the university. Its services are aimed at those affected, support persons of those affected, observers of assaultive or dubious situations and anyone who would like to find out more and get involved. In addition, they offer information and support for those responsible and multipliers who want to take preventive or interventive action against sexualized discrimination and violence.
They advise and inform you, also with the knowledge of multiple discrimination. Their services are confidential and free of charge.

The counselling and coaching services are aimed at all employees of the University of Oldenburg. It is available to you directly during working hours - without bureaucratic obstacles. The counsellors are bound to confidentiality and all concerns are treated in strict confidence.
Disability counselling
More infoTheir counselling is based on the principles of peer counselling (those affected advise those affected). When dealing with one's own disability is discussed, the limits, but also the potentials, can be considered together. They also support student self-help organisations and campaign for the interests of disabled and chronically ill people nationwide.
